Artificial grass has become quite popular over recent years and it’s easy to see why. It has improved vastly and now looks just like the real thing.
Here is a recent job we completed showing the process from start to finish.
The first step is to remove the existing lawn/mud, a 50mm timber frame is then fixed in place around the perimeter. This allows us to create a level surface and means the artificial grass can be fixed in place by screwing it to the frame.
A washed coarse grit is then spread over the area, leveled and compacted. This makes for a firm, free draining layer below the grass. A water permeable membrane is then laid over the base.
Finally the artificial grass is cut to size and screwed down around the perimeter.
If you would like a quote for artificial grass/fake grass/astro turf please contact me and I can come and discuss the various options. I can also show you some samples of the different types of grass available.
